garden state
i havent slept today, i just couldnt. tried a bubble bath, almost drowned when i breath in a soapy murky water. i felt cleaner though.
decided to watch some tele, first ellen.. i like her. she is one cool lesbian! her guests today were hot though... and when i say hot, i mean, hot hot hot!!! too bad one is already engaged.
then i switched to jerry springer.... hoping i'd fall asleep, a moment on the show caught my attention. a group of soldiers, were invited to come up to the stage in all their "patriotic" glory and made to salute while the american national anthem was played. it was a metaphor, a scene encapsulating the american society, one that i see of course, there are the naive soldiers on the front, behind them the whores, the crack whores, the horny husbands, the disoriented wives, the insatibale audience, the bouncer guys, and of course the ringmaster, jerry himself. a revelation brought up by the episode, "honey, i had sex with a stripper."
i bought some dvds from hollywood video, as usual, my attention was fixed on the clearance shelves. 3 for 25, good deal for original copies of your favorite movies. i bought constantine, garden state and elephant.
havent watched elephant yet, i was saving it for last. the reviews seemed to great to watch it before constantine.
constantine seemed oddly boring to me. the plot was overpowered by the computer generated images, i bet without it, and with the help of a few more thoughtful shots, it could have been better.
garden state was an excellent film. all you guys should watch it.
