what would jesus do

i arrived home at six in the morning. thank god, my manager took pity on me and offered me aride home. poor guy, if only he knew the things i say about him behind his back, nothing personal though, plainly business. as usual i couldnt sleep... these past few days, my diet has consisted of side salads with grilled chicken, days of sleep and countless cups of mickey dees bitter 100% arabica coffee.

i channel surfed until my fingers were numb. i finally settled at channel 14- Trinity Broadcasting Network, i usually skip this channel but not today, flying house was on. i cant remember the last time i saw the cartoons. angie, justin, cory and even the professor didnt age a day. it was a thirty minute drive down memory lane. when times used to be simplier and more innocent, or perhaps i was just naive then. the coolest thing about it all was that, the episode was the 52nd episode, the last episode, when the children, the professor and their trusty robot got back to the twentieth century. last episodes or finales always leaves me feeling sad, especially if it involves shows you kinda grew up with, like the wonder years, dogie howser md, beverly hills, baywatch, tnmt, kimba the white lion, and yes even power rangers. they leave you feeling sad, nostalgic not because they are great shows, but because you tend to associate them with your experience. so when you see justin, and angie and cory dropped their jaw witnessing the miracle of lazarus, you think of your brother and sister, and how you all watched it together one summer day in a small house in cebu city. i could go on and on, but you guys know what i mean.

by 9:00 am, i still cant sleep, so decided to watch the machinist, gawd, christian bale is unbelievable. it was almost painful watching the whole film, and not to mention beatutiful too. there is beauty in something so unnatural, so much beauty in the manifestations of guilt.

by the end of the movie, the smoke alarm went off, my vegetable and link fritatta was broiled to death. it tastes good though... the charred top tasted almost like a barbecued stick. so i left the apartment and crashed at a friends house for some bulalo and internet surfing.

oh, another thing happened, last night.... a guy came up to me and offered me a job as a store manager at papa john's pizza. he was telling me he'd top my salaries and benefits at mickeydees... i couldnt be sure if he really saw a manager in me or he wanted something else, because the whole time, he gave me this weird look. i have yet decided to call him.
