the great cities of the world.
got work, got new friends, and got booze on weekends, what more could i ask for? right? WRONG!
while sweating blood and tears at my dead end job at Toni's Dry Cleaners in Manhattan, i came to think of my mom and my sister. it was overwhelming how weeks of not thinking of them came back to me as a tsunami of emotions, reminiscing times when times were okey. when i could hug my mom for no reason, or wrestle my little sister until she cries. because no matter how i force myself not to think of them, they come back to me in the faces of the family that so openly embraced me.
i had to call them, and i did, well technically i didnt, but i asked about them. i called a family friend and asked her how they were doing. finally i asked.
and thats a milestone for mr. yancy
