so last saturday i went on a date, not! more like hanged out with a friend.
met him through a LGBT focus group at columbia university. he is very nice. id go out, hang out, with him again.
we went to a gay asian club in midtown manhattan. despite the clear asian sexploitation and exotification, i had fun. queerly enough, i had fun.
gay clubs and bars always leave me feeling like ive step into another world where people are candid and as tactless and blunt as shit on a sidewalk. it is as if, rules of the "normal" patriarchal world does not apply to the dim go-go boys ridden hollows.
now, whitney houston's song all the man that i need rings to my mind as well as a huge african american drag queen, lipsynching to that song while holding a bucket of kfc and a 12 inch dildo. they do really fill you up.
