there was another raid in quiapo
i heard aling nene was caught
along with two other young women
i was supposed to be one of them
but i had to do overtime at work
i am three months behind on the rent
and i have barely enough to feed my two kids
and i have barely enough to sustain another one
growing in my womb

aling nena promised to help me
she understands me
because she was once like me
we both lost our husbands
on the demolition of 1999
we both were forced to find any means
to keep our families alive

now i am two months pregnant
no one knows it but aling nene
i was raped by a drunk army man
one night when i went home from work
there have been a lot of others like me
in our barranggay
ever since the military took over the baranggay hall
three months ago
i was the unfortunate one
i got pregnant
i cannot really do much about it
i have no time to complain
or my kids will die of hunger

now aling nene is gone
where else do i go?

im just tired.

im trying to change the course of things but not much is happening at all and people are starting to take me not seriously.

all i want to do is scream, run. but we all know i can not do that. *sighs*

i have to struggle it out. hope i can come out alive.
